My mind works in fucking mysterious ways.

As a major Farrah fan, I of course love her film EXTREMITIES & would literally kill to travel back in time & see her in the early 80’s NYC stage production.  I am also a major Meg Foster fan, always have been, but after meeting her last August & bonding, I am especially fond of this exceptional actress.  I love that there is a link between 2 of my all time favorite actresses.

Fun Fact: The success of the NYC play lead to a LA run & from the very limited resources I could find, it’s original cast included:

  • Meg Foster - I assume she played the Diana Scarwid role of Terry, who reveals she was raped as a teenager by the father of a friend & never did anything about it.
  • Kim Darby - I would bet ca$h money that she was Patricia, the level headed one who was played by Alfre Woodard in the film, but with talent like this, Kim could have been Terry & Meg Patricia).
  • Lauren Hutton - the headlining Farrah role of Marjorie

This sounds soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good.  Next time I see Meg, I am soooooo picking her brain about this.

Then not to be outdone, especially I have always dreamed of directing a production of this very play, i came across this…

I love every aspect, EXCEPT Katie Holmes.

CORRECTION - Kim Darby was cast as TERRY, so that means Meg Foster was PATRICIA.
